The chimpanzee in this photograph is an orphan who lives at the Institute's Tchimpounga Chimpanzee Rehabilitation Center in the Republic of Congo. These orphans are the youngest victims of the commercial bushmeat trade - a practice that is pushing chimpanzees and other endangered species to the brink of extinction.
