Muddy Mambou

In the weeks prior to the release of Disneynature's newest True-Life Adventure, Chimpanzee, we wanted to give you a daily glimpse into the lives of some of the youngest residents at JGI's Tchimpounga Chimpanzee Rehabilitation Center in the Republic of Congo.
If you see Chimpanzee during the movie's opening week (April 20-26, 2012), Disneynature will make a donation to the Jane Goodall Institute through the Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund to protect chimpanzees, including those residing at the Tchimpounga sanctuary.
It’s the rainy season at Tchimpounga. Mambou loves to play in the small puddles. He puts his hands in the mud and watches it slowly slide between his fingers. Sometimes he makes balls with the mud and then crushes them to see what they look like after they have been squashed by his feet.
