Roots & Shoots Summit

It’s my favorite time of the year—leaves are turning and it’s time for the Roots & Shoots North
America Summit. I love our Summits because Roots & Shoots members know that giving back
should be fun. More than just a conference, the yearly event is a celebration of the community
impact that members have through their projects and volunteering.

Summits are a tradition that goes back to Roots & Shoots’ inception in 1991. I love to look
through the photo archives of those early Summits. Here’s a slideshow of some of my favorites.

This year’s Summit will take place in New Orleans on October 21 and 22, 2011. I invite you
to join in the fun. You don’t have to be a Roots & Shoots member—just have a desire to give
