Zola's Recovery

Zola is recovering gradually from a serious respiratory infection. Thanks to the attention of his caregiver Antonette and the supervision of the veterinary team at Tchimpounga, each day Zola is getting better and better.

Antonette carries Zola with her everywhere. Just as she did with her children when they were babies, Antonette wraps Zola in a long cloth and places him on her back, this constant closeness from his adoptive mother helps the small chimpanzee maintain his body temperature, and at the same time, Antonette can have her hands free to prepare bottles as well as clean and chop Zola´s favorite fruits.
