London: Gombe 50 Primate Society of Great Britain Symposium
The Primate Society of Great Britain will host a two-day scientific winter meeting devoted to the theme of Gombe 50, the global celebration of Jane Goodall’s pioneering chimpanzee research and inspiring vision for our future.
London: Jane Goodall’s Roots & Shoots U.K. Awards
On December 10, 2010, Dr. Goodall will host the Jane Goodall’s Roots & Shoots U.K. Awards at the London Zoo. Roots & Shoots groups from across the country will gather to share information about their latest projects and enjoy lunch together. Dr. Goodall will present the awards at a 1:00 p.m. ceremony.
London: Dr. Goodall’s Book Signing at National Geographic Store
Dr. Goodall will make a special appearance at the National Geographic Store on Regent Street in London on December 5, 2010, at 3:30 p.m. She will sign copies of her newest book, Jane Goodall: 50 Years at Gombe, and give a short talk. Dr. Goodall will also unveil a photo exhibit of images from the book that will be displayed at the store throughout December.

Jane Receives Germany's Prestigous Bambi Award
On November 11, 2010, Dr. Goodall received a Bambi Award at a ceremony in Potsdam, Germany. The Bambi Awards are considered the German equivalent to the American Oscars which are presented by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
