In a simple yet elegant event Oct. 30, the 3rd annual Jane Goodall Institute Global Leadership Awards Celebration honored Los Angeles mayor Antonio R. Villaraigosa, actress Betty White, actor Ed Begley, Jr., and other leaders in business and the nonprofit sectors for their work and achievements on behalf of people, animals and the environment.

Like many other nonprofits, the Jane Goodall Institute is facing challenging times as a result of the current economic downturn and we have had to make some tough budgetary decisions. Jane Goodall took time out of her world tour to stop in Washington, D.C., for the second annual Jane Goodall Institute Global Leadership Awards Celebration on Friday, November 7 at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center.
The Awards honor the work and achievements of individuals and corporations that embody the Institute’s mission by taking informed and compassionate action on behalf of all living things.
