Lisbon, Portugal: 104th Rotary International Convention

Dr. Goodall will be giving a lecture on June 26, 2013, at the Rotary International Convention during the Plenary Session four from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. 

 

Dr. Jane Goodall Receives the 2014 Exemplar Award

At a private dinner in Atlanta on Friday night, Dr. Goodall was honored with the 2014 Exemplar Award from the Captain Planet Foundation, finishing out her nearly 12 month lecture tour around the globe. The award recognizes a real life environmental superhero, an individual who demonstrates extraordinary environmental stewardship, helping to protect and preserve the natural world and to make this place we call home a better place for everyone and everything.

2014 International Day of Peace

Each year Dr. Jane Goodall celebrates the United Nations International Day of Peace at the United Nations headquarters in New York City. And each year hundreds of thousands of youth involved in the Jane Goodall Institute's global youth program, Roots & Shoots, join in the celebration, taking their message of peace and hope into their local communities. This video is a compliation of peace day celebrations from around the world and how each Jane Goodall Institute office celebrated this special day in their own country.
