How JGI Helps Save Endangered Species

Friday, May 16, 2014, is  Endangered Species Day in the United States. While the Jane Goodall Institute (JGI) has always been committed to protecting Africa’s endangered wild chimpanzee populations, chimpanzees are not the only endangered species that benefit from JGI’s many projects.

Celebrate Mother's Day with the Jane Goodall Institute!

The Jane Goodall Institute operates many programs that touch the lives of women in African communities. Efforts like our microcredit loan program and our fuel-efficient stoves project not only help mothers and the communities they live in, they also reduce human dependence on Africa's forests. This in turn allows JGI to better protect key chimpanzee habitat areas located near these communities.
