Jane Goodall: Reasons for Hope
The Royal Zoological Society of Scotland (RZSS) is delighted to announce an evening with renowned researcher and trail-blazing conservationist Dr. Jane Goodall DBE, Founder, the Jane Goodall Institute & UN Messenger for Peace, on Thursday 1 May 2014 from 7pm at Edinburgh’s Assembly Hall.
This October, after a short stop in Toronto, Canada, Jane made her way to the San Francisco Bay Area for a number of inspiring events. Her visit began with a lecture to staff at Clif Bar & Company about sustainable food practices and the importance of conservation. Prior to her remarks, Jane met with the company’s founders, Gary Erickson and Kit Crawford, and Kevin Cleary, the company’s chief executive officer, for a tour of the Clif Bar facility.
It’s certainly been an exciting fall for Jane! After receiving an honorary degree at University of St Andrews in Scotland, she headed to New York City to take part in the UN International Day of Peace, the International Women’s Earth and Climate Initiative Summit, and the Humane Education Conference.
To celebrate the kickoff of Dr. Jane's Spring 2013 USA lecture tour, here are some photos collected from the road!
