- 2:30 p.m. Free entry into a local artists’ exhibition of works inspired by Jane’s life. There will also be a presentation of Roots & Shoots projects by local children.
- 3:00 p.m. Special reception with Dr. Goodall.
- 4:00-6:00 p.m. A screening of Jane’s Journey documentary film followed by a special Q&A session and book signing with Dr. Goodall.
July 14, 2010, marked a monumental milestone for the Jane Goodall Institute (JGI) and our founder. Fifty years earlier, Dr. Goodall, who is today a world-renowned primatologist, conservationist and UN Messenger of Peace, first set foot on the shores of Lake Tanganyika, in what is now Tanzania’s Gombe National Park. The chimpanzee behavioral research she pioneered there continues to produce a wealth of scientific discovery, and her vision has expanded into a global mission to empower people to make a difference for all living things.
Tickets can be obtained by emailing info@janegoodall.org.uk.
