GERMANY: Dr. Goodall’s Autumn Tour of Germany

On September 3-5, 2011, Dr. Goodall will visit Germany for a number of events. Highlights of her itinerary include:

September 3: In Hamburg, Dr. Goodall will be named the “Ambassador of the Green Capital of Europe” at a special ceremony attended by local members of Jane Goodall’s Roots & Shoots and the media. Later that evening, Dr. Goodall will speak about and sign copies of the German edition of her book, Hope for Animals and Their World.

September 4: In the evening, Dr. Goodall will travel to Kiel, Germany, to host a public lecture at the Opera House.

At each appearance, Dr. Goodall will share information about the work of the Jane Goodall Institute, which continues her pioneering research with offices in 27 countries around the world. Today, the Institute is a global leader in the effort to protect chimpanzees and their habitats. It also is widely recognized for establishing innovative community-centered conservation and development programs in Africa, and Jane Goodall’s Roots & Shoots, the Institute’s global environmental and humanitarian youth program.
