Scotland: Dr. Goodall Visits the International School of Aberdeen

On May 6, 2011, Dr. Goodall will visit the International School of Aberdeen in Scotland to address students and representatives from other schools.

Dr. Goodall will be speaking about Jane Goodall’s Roots & Shoots, the Jane Goodall Institute’s global environmental and humanitarian program for young people from preschool through university. Roots & Shoots now has more than 1,200 participating schools in the United Kingdom and groups in more than 120 countries around the globe.

The International School of Aberdeen is made up of students from more 40 different nationalities, of which 16 percent are local students from the United Kingdom. Students in grades 3-11 will have the opportunity to hear Dr. Goodall speak.

Dr. Goodall is in Scotland as a guest of the University of St. Andrews and ConcoPhillips. She will be giving a lecture for the St. Andrew’s Prize for the Environment at the university on the evening of May 4.
