Seattle: The Power of Youth is Global – An Evening with Dr. Goodall

Oct 28 2010

Giant Magnet, in association with the Jane Goodall Institute (JGI), is proud to present an evening with JGI founder, Dr. Jane Goodall, DBE. Dr. Goodall, world-renowned primatologist, conservationist and UN Messenger of Peace, will discuss Jane Goodall’s Roots & Shoots – JGI’s global environmental and humanitarian youth program. Roots & Shoots empowers young people from preschool through college to make positive change happen for people, animals and the environment we all share. With hundreds of thousands of members in more than 120 countries, the Roots & Shoots network connects youth of all ages who share a desire to create a better world.

Dr. Goodall’s Seattle appearance will focus on the global empowerment of youth, growing Roots & Shoots in the region, her partnerships with Northwest schools and organizations, and how we can work together to create a brighter future for all those who call this planet home. Dr. Goodall will be interviewed by Marcie Sillman, a seasoned cultural reporter for radio station KUOW who regularly produces in-depth audio portraits and documentary series about life and culture in the Puget Sound region.

Dr. Goodall will have a book signing following her appearance.

Please note that ticketing is handled by Giant Magnet directly and not JGI.
