South Korea: Dr. Goodall’s Gombe 50 Tour of Asia

Dr. Goodall will commemorate Gombe 50, the Jane Goodall Institute’s year-long global celebration of her 50th anniversary of pioneering chimpanzee research and inspiring vision for our future, with a month-long tour of Asia throughout September.

On September 27-October 1, Dr. Goodall will visit South Korea for a number of events in support of Jane Goodall’s Roots & Shoots. Highlights of her itinerary include:

September 28: Dr. Goodall will visit with staff of Ewha University in Seoul. Later in the day, she will participate in a dialogue discussion with Chosun Daily, one of the most respected newspapers in the country. Dr. Goodall will give a public lecture at the Korea Advance Institute of Science and Technology that evening.

September 29: In the morning, Dr. Goodall will host a press conference. At 1 p.m., she will speak to members of Jane’s Goodall’s Roots & Shoots at “Biodiversity Day” at Kwangreung Arboretum.

September 30: Dr. Goodall will give remarks at the International Biodiversity Conference for the establishment of the National Institute of Ecology at 10 a.m. In the evening, she will give a public lecture at Kyung Hee University in Seoul.
