Taiwan: Dr. Goodall’s Gombe 50 Tour of Asia

Dr. Goodall will commemorate Gombe 50, the Jane Goodall Institute’s global 50th anniversary celebration of her pioneering chimpanzee research and inspiring vision for our future, with a month-long tour of Asia throughout the month of September.
On September 5-9, Dr. Goodall will visit Taiwan for a number of events organized by JGI-Taiwan and Jane Goodall’s Roots & Shoots. Highlights of Dr. Goodall’s itinerary include:
September 5: A special tree planting ceremony in Taipei in celebration of Gombe 50 with members of Jane Goodall’s Roots & Shoots. Later that day, JGI-Taiwan will present An Evening with Dr. Jane Goodall – an auction dinner fundraising event.
September 6: Roots & Shoots Day Keynote address at Taiwan’s Hsinchu Zoological Gardens.
September 8: Public lecture in Yilan, Taiwan geared toward teachers and school administrators.
