Berlin: World Premiere of Jane’s Journey Film

Dr. Goodall will attend the world premiere of Jane’s Journey, a feature-length documentary film about her life’s work, at Berlin’s Astor Film Lounge on August 26.

The film, directed by Lorenz Knauer, follows Dr. Goodall on her travels across several continents. From her childhood home in Bournemouth, England, to the shores of Lake Tanganyika at Gombe National Park to lecture halls in the United States, Jane’s Journey offers an unprecedented behind-the-scenes view into Dr. Goodall’s intense and exciting life. The film is an intimate portrait of the private person behind the world-famous icon.

Jane’s Journey is produced by Neos Film and CC Medien in association with Animal Planet/Discovery Communications, Sphinx Media, SWR/arte Cinepostproduction, and Licht & Ton with financial support from FilmFernsehFonds Bayern, Deutscher Filmförderfonds, Filmförderungsanstalt. The German national release of the film is scheduled for September 2, 2010.
