Controller - Finance, Washington, DC Area Headquarters (Vienna, VA)

Position Summary: The Controller is a full time position located the Jane Goodall Institute's USA headquarters in the Finance department. The Controller will be responsible for overseeing the organization's day to day accounting functions including managing two full time accountants in the headquarters office, and collaborating with accountant/finance staff in multiple offices in Africa.

Manager, Stewardship and Donor Relations

The Manager of Stewardship & Donor Relations creates, develops, executes and analyzes the results of a comprehensive direct mail, email and stewardship plan to engage, retain and upgrade current donors. S/he will lead all middle donor cultivation, including the creation and implementation of donor travel programs, giving circle premiums, upgrade appeals, membership, affiliation and rewards program material. S/he manages all activities and details pertaining to donor travel opportunities including, but not limited to, the creation, marketing, and logistical preparation of all trips as well as the tracking and follow up for each donor (with the goal of securing follow up gifts). S/he will manage membership inquiries and steward current middle donors as well as continue to serve as a point of contact for general JGI membership.

Executive Director, DRC office

Position Summary: The Executive Director is a full time position assigned to the Jane Goodall Institute (JGI) Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).  The JGI DRC office is located in Goma and currently consists of 15 employees.  The Executive Director will provide oversight of all JGO programs, activities, staff and budgets in the DRC, with technical, administrative and managerial support provided by JGI Africa Programs USA. This portfolio includes but is not limited to landscape scale ecosystem conservation, chimpanzee conservation, community-centered conservation, and environmental education.

Program Officer, DRC Office

The Program Officer is a full time position located in the JGI office in Goma, DRC. The office is located in Goma center and consists of 15 employees . The DRC team consists of a program team who spend 50% of their time working away from the office in field sites or representing the program nationally and internationally, and a finance and administrative team who support program activities.   The Project Officer will join the team in the DRC, and focus on coordinating the implementation of the Great Apes Conservation Action Plan for eastern DRC, as well as supporting the management  of ongoing grants. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for managing all reporting requirements under at least three grants.  The candidate will also play an important role in tracking results under these projects and uploading them into JGI's monitoring and evaluation data base.  Field visits to South Kivu and Maniema provinces are anticipated in order to monitor project progress, verify project data and meet with the partners.
