Thanks for ROAR-ing for JGI!

The two-month ROAR campaign wrapped up on October 31, 2012, and was a great success!  Thanks to donors like you, the Jane Goodall Institute (JGI) secured more than $35,000, funds that will directly benefit the chimpanzees living at JGI’s Tchimpounga Chimpanzee Rehabilitation Center in the Republic of Congo.

During the October portion of the campaign, your support helped JGI lead the way, garnering more than $20,000 from 350 donors!  JGI also won October bonuses for “the most donors” and “the most dollars,” resulting in an extra $5,000 from Animal Planet.
The Jane Goodall Institute would like to thank Animal Planet and GlobalGiving for organizing and and managing the ROAR effort over the past two months.  We also wanted to express our gratitude to the hundreds of donors who contributed to JGI during the ROAR campaign.  As a special thank you, please enjoy this video (link) detailing what life is like for the six Tchimpounga chimpanzees who were recently released on Tchindzoulou Island, the expanded sanctuary site that provides a more natural habitat for them to call home.
