Our twins are growing up

Gremlin's twins, Golden and Glitter, are now 10 years old.
They are the Gombe's only surviving twins! They are a happy pair, confident,
active and playful, and they began spending time away from their mother earlier
than most young chimpanzees. Golden is known for giving visitors fantastic
photos, by swinging and hanging from low vines so everyone gets a good view.

Recently Golden and Glitter have started their sexual cycles, with partial swellings.
They seem excited about these changes, and are seeking the attention of males,
but the males have not taken much notice.

The twins are a joy to watch in the
field as they show so much enthusiasm is everything they do. Consequently, I've
found it very hard to get good pictures of them as they never stay still!
