Bead for Life - Necklace

Be a part of our unique partnership with BeadforLife. BeadforLife is a unique poverty eradication project that builds economic and cultural bridges between impoverished women in Kampala, Uganda and concerned citizens in North America, Europe and Australia.

 

This necklace is a single strand of handcrafted paper beads and small glass seed beads. A group of women in Uganda carefully handcraft the beads from colorful recycled paper, carefully cutting thin triangular strips that are rolled, glued, varnished and strung together to make exquisite necklaces with an African flair that are offered in five different color choices. Fifty percent of your purchase will go to support BeadforLife’s community development projects in Uganda and the remaining fifty percent will support the development of the Roots & Shoots youth network in the United States and other countries.
