JGI Loves Wild Things!

Now through November 8, 2009, the world’s largest exhibition and sale of original illustrations from the collection of acclaimed artist and author, Maurice Sendak, will take place at Animazing Gallery in New York’s SoHo.  The exhibit includes over 200 pieces spanning more than 20 years of Sendak’s work, including art from Sendak’s “Where the Wild Things Are” book and opera.

The Animazing exhibit coincides with the release of the “Wild Things” major motion picture, as well critically-acclaimed Sendak retrospectives at the Morgan Library & Museum in New York City and the Contemporary Jewish Museum in San Francisco.  Mr. Sendak is generously donating a portion of proceeds to the Jane Goodall Institute and the Rosenbach Museum & Library.  For more information on the exhibition, click here.
