Day 1
Dar es Salaam
Evening arrivals from US, transfers from Dar es Salaam International Airport to our hotel.
Meet JGI Africa Adventures specialist Lori Robinson and the local safari guide who will accompany us throughout our journey.

Day 2
Serengeti
Early morning flight from Dar to Serengeti National Park. En route to our accommodations there will be lots of wildlife to see among the diverse ecosystems of Africa’s most famous park.

Day 3
Serengeti
Spend the morning exploring the vast and diverse Serengeti National Park in search of wildlife. After lunch we will have time to relax by the pool and enjoy the spectacular setting of our lodge.

Day 4
Serengeti
Spend the morning exploring or relaxing. Your choice. The camp is situated above a pool with resident hippos and frequent visits from elephants and other wildlife. At night the sounds of hyena and lion are often heard.

Day 5
Serengeti
Spend the day exploring en route to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Stop for lunch and interpretive talk at Oldupai Gorge. Visit the Maasai in a traditional Boma.
Arrive at our lodge, considered one of the best in the world, before sunset.

Day 6
Ngorongoro Crater
From your lodge, perched on the rim of the crater, you can see an awesome panorama – a collapsed volcano of 102 square miles containing lion, rhino, hippo, hyena and elephant, as well as thousands of antelope. Today we drive down into the Crater (one of the wonders of the world) and spend the day exploring and wildlife viewing. The vast number of animals is like nowhere else in the world. Day 7
Kigoma
Early morning charter flight to Kigoma. Visit Stanley Livingston Museum in Ujiji.
Visit JGI Educational Centre, and some JGI projects in the small villages where tourists are seen very infrequently.

Day 8
Gombe
Spend the morning visiting JGI TACARE projects.
We will visit the villages and meet the local people who are working so hard on various exciting projects. This afternoon we will take the boat out to Gombe Stream Park
and enjoy sunset cocktails on the edge of Lake Tanganika.

Day 9
Gombe
Early morning hike in Gombe Forest to view wild chimpanzees.
Following lunch, spend the afternoon swimming and snorkeling in the fresh water
of Lake Tanganika.

Dar es Salaam
Following brunch we will take the boat back to Kigoma to catch our flight back to Dar es Salaam.

Dar es Salaam
This morning we will visit a Roots & Shoots group to hear about the projects the children are working on. Following lunch, a last chance shopping excursion. Farewell drinks and savory appetizers at rooftop bar. Transfers to airport for international flights home.
